We are searching for a QA Automation Engineer who can truly take ownership of product quality and automation – someone who takes pride in shipping a quality product that enables our employees and clients to be successful. The right candidate will be curious, a strong problem solver, highly organized and detail-oriented, with solid experience in writing/maintaining automated test suites, while possessing a friendly demeanor and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Self starter with a "can-do" attitude

• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to develop a comprehensive set of automated tests for our web-based applications

• Evaluate existing products and prioritize automation needs

• Create and maintain automated scripts utilizing open source tools (FitNesse, Selenium, etc)

• Help in manual testing, product planning and non-automation QA activities as needed

• Perform extensive functional, integration, security and UI testing (manual and automated)

• Work with users to reproduce bugs and log proper bug reports

• Collaborate with engineering to validate bugs and get them fixed

• Assist product and engineering teams to define requirements

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques. Open source tools preferred

• 3 or more years experience testing database driven web applications

• 3 or more years experience writing automated tests for web applications

• Strong knowledge of Java (and/or other programming languages used for scripting automated tests)

• Solid experience writing test cases and test plans

• SQL database skills (writing queries, interpreting results)

• Basic knowledge of Linux a plus

• Experience with open-source testing tools such as Fit, FitNesse and/or other open source tools

• Programming/scripting in any additional languages a plus

• Some knowledge of sponsored search (i.e. Google AdWords, Overture) a plus
